No-Sew Blanket

Paige made me a super cool no-sew blanket! I've never seen anything like this before so we went to Jo-Ann and I picked out this awesome fabric and absolutely feel in love with it! I cannot wait to come home to show everyone my blanket and possibly make some myself! This is only one of the cool things I've experienced here at NAU!

Early Halloween

My resident, Natasha loves to bake. She made all of us delicious pumpkin white chocolate cupcakes and another pumpkin pastry. She is the sweetest girl ever. I am going to have to bring her back to USC and hire her to make desserts for our campus. I'm sure everyone would love it so much they would never ever go to class! Natasha is the absolute best!

Shopping and Lunch

Victoria, Yemisi and I went shopping for some jackets! It does not get that cold in South Carolina so I am a little unprepared! We found the best deals at Kohl's. Of course we had to make a pit stop to Wal-mart. We can never go anywhere without also stopping to Wal-mart! Next to Wal-mart we noticed B-dubs, better known as Buffalo Wild Wings, so then we had to get lunch. I found some awesome jackets on sale, got some needed things from Wal-mart and had a great lunch. This was the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning, shopping and eating good (non-campus) food. I love all the wonderful people and I have met so far I do not even want to leave NAU anytime soon! I am definitely enjoying my experience here.

RA Late Night Snack

At 3 in the morning when RA's are on call we obviously make cookie brownies with mint ice cream! It was absolutely delicious. Brandon actually made it and I told him he has to teach me how to make it so I can share it will all my RA's back at USC. I am totally enjoying my time with all my co-workers. They are all wonderful and I could not have asked for a better staff.

First Friday Art Walk

Downtown Flagstaff does an art walk where all the art galleries open up their stores so people can go see the beautiful art work. We weren't allowed to take pictures but seeing all the art work was absolutely amazing.  Below Pictures: (1) J-flo and I downtown enjoying the art walk (2) A family playing music with hand-made musical instruments

Fox Glenn Park

The Freshmen Connections had a BBQ for all the Freshmen RA's. We went to the park and our RHD's (residence hall directors) cooked hot dogs and hamburgers for us. We also made S'mores. We had a blast as all the RA's came together and enjoyed one another's time. It was a much needed break from dealing with residents all the time. This BBQ showed me how much NAU really appreciates their RA's.
