Preparing for the Homecoming Parade

Homecoming weekend was absolutely amazing! There was a parade that went through Downtown Flagstaff and Sechrist (the hall I am a RA in) was in the parade. The Hall Association of Sechrist decorated the float and they did an amazing job. This was an awesome experience for me as I got to bond with more residents and RA's. I am loving NAU and Sechrist more and more every day.

Dinner and a Movie Date

Last week was mid-terms so we all decided that we needed to treat ourselves for kicking butt on such a tough week! Also, I finished my on-line class which I am absolutely excited about. I'm sure that was one of the toughest classes I've ever taken but now I am done! We first went to Olive Garden and had delicious pasta! Then we went to the movies to watch Alex Cross. Alex Cross was an awesome movie and I really enjoyed it. After the movies, as we waited for a taxi, Paige decided to play games in the Arcade they have at the movies. She was actually pretty good at the shooting game. She says it's because she is from ALASKA! The girls and I had a fabulous day together and it was a great relaxer before we started a new week at school!

Foam Party

The Foam Party is another homecoming event here on the NAU campus. This event was also another hit. I did not go into the Foam but I did get pictures of them getting the foam ready for everyone to have a blast! NAU has some awesome events for their students to enjoy and show off their NAU spirit. I must bring back some of these unique, successful events back to USC for our homecoming weekends in the future!

Homecoming Carnival

NAU has this awesome Carnival tradition. This weekend is Homecoming weekend and they have some awesome activities going on! Some residents and I went to the carnival and it was like a mini fair. I really enjoyed this experience and everything was FREE! Did I mention that everything was FREE!?! We got to take pictures in the photo booth and we got to get character pictures. The mini carnival was a huge success and was a hit on the NAU campus. They really drew the students out to show their NAU spirit for homecoming weekend. They had a chili cook-off, a Lumberjack crowning (their mascot is the Lumberjack so a guy is crowned Mr. Lumberjack every year at the carnival, a bon fire and there were so many things going on I must let the pictures tell you the story!
