Pie Your RA

Pie Your RA was a huge success. The RA's had this program to raise money for Relay for Life and within an hour we raised $100. The only reason the residents stopped was because we ran out of cool whip. The residents gave a $1 donation for each pie for whichever RA they wanted to pie in the face. Sechrist residents and RA's had an absolute blast as we raised money for such as great cause. Pie your RA is definitely a program I will bring back to USC!

NAU Halloween Carnival

NAU has a carnival for children in the community every year. Different groups and organizations across campus set up various booths for the children to play game and have a great time winning candy. There were many different booths such as: bowling, cake walks, bean bag toss and fishing for ghosts. I was a part of the Criminal Justice Booth where we played a cake walk game except with candy. There were tons of children and as usual the carnival was a huge success. I had a great time and getting the community involved was an awesome idea. I love the events NAU hosts as they always strive to be inclusive.

Halloween Party

NAU has living learning communities where a community mentor (CM) plans events and the RA's support them. We have HRM (hotel and restaurant management), Business, Pre-Law and Criminal Justice living learning communities here in Sechrist Hall. I am a RA of the Criminal Justice living learning community so I participated in the Halloween Party for all the living learning communities combined. The CM's had cupcake decorating, cake walks, bobbing for apples and a costume contest. The event was very well planned and entertaining. Along with all the residents, I had a blast and definitely got some ideas to take back to Housing and Residence Life at USC. The living learning communities are very involved and beneficial to the residents. This is one of the many unique programs NAU has that is absolutely amazing!

I Voted!

This is my first year that I would be able to vote in a Presidential Election and I was not passing this opportunity up! I sent in my absentee request and just mailed my absentee ballot off. This experience, even though as an absentee, was awesome and made me feel like little ole me made a difference in this big ole world. I am excited to be involved and be able to voice my opinion in these United States of America!

Homecoming Parade

I thought preparing for the Parade was fun but the actual Parade was even better! I had a blast going through Downtown Flagstaff in the Parade. This was awesome as I'm not even sure how to be involved in our Homecoming Parade at USC. I must let the pictures tell you the entire story...
